You cannot actually copy your guitar heroes forever. One of these you’ll get tired of it and find ways to create your own thing. Your own song and your own music. That is the next level of becoming musically mature. Now, how should you do this? If you want to know the answer, sometimes you don’t have to look far and wide for the answer. In songwriting, there are no rules, no fixed formula of success, and no nothing. It’s like air, free – flowing. You could build your song out of anything, a lick, a riff, a chord. The most challenging part of music is breaking away from imitation and finding your owns sound.
